Walk through proposal
01
Where things sit today

The business has outgrown the current split-brand structure.

Serviceman has built strong trust over time through consistent delivery and word-of-mouth. The issue is not the work. The issue is that the current web presence no longer reflects how the business operates today. Services are spread across two brands, the customer journey is less clear than it should be, and the quality of the online presentation does not match the quality of the team’s work in the field.

Research across both websites shows duplicated trust signals, shared contact details, and a clear operational overlap. In practice, this already behaves like one business. The website should make that obvious.

Strategic planning materials

Current websites

Two fronts, one operating business
02
The direction

A clearer master brand, designed for the next stage of the business.

Brand clarity

Consolidate under one identity: Serviceman.

Bringing services together under Serviceman removes confusion and creates a stronger, more memorable market presence. It also avoids unnecessary overlap with the Auckland-based “The Heating Company” name.

Recruitment & growth

The website becomes a practical business asset.

A more credible, modern presentation helps support recruitment, strengthens employer perception, and provides a better foundation for long-term succession and expansion.

03
A practical, one-off upgrade

This is a strategic clean-up, not an ongoing marketing programme.

Included

  • A one-off website rebuild and consolidation
  • Restructure around how the business operates today
  • A clearer master brand under Serviceman

Not included

  • Not an ongoing marketing programme
  • No unnecessary platform complexity
  • No dependence on future campaigns to justify the build
04

06
Built to support hiring

A careers page that can work when you need it — and disappear when you do not.

A dedicated recruitment page can be activated as required to support campaigns across SEEK, Trade Me Jobs, and Facebook. It gives applicants a clear destination, helps position Serviceman as a credible employer, and supports future hiring of apprentices and experienced staff.
